Client

A local chef aspired to create an app that makes healthy home cooking easier by providing recipes and options to gather ingredients or order them through the app for convenience.

Design the MVP to validate the idea, user interest and engagement before committing to a complete build. How do you design an app without a clear vision or plan, and everything has to be created from scratch?

Idea

Work closely with the client to understand goals and needs. Create mood boards to help define core design elements and structures, such as color schemes, typography, and UI design systems. Use generative AI to quickly create unique photos and avoid needing big stock photo libraries.

Accomplishments

Designed a basic version with essential features, including a homepage featuring a recipe feed with search and filter options and detailed recipe pages that provide ingredient lists, cooking instructions, and the ability to order ingredients through the app.
